Privacy Policy

Pledge is a private mastermind app for small groups. This policy explains what information the app handles, why, and the choices you have. It applies to the Pledge mobile app published by Clearpoint Studios.

Information you provide

To take part in a circle, you provide a small amount of profile information, such as a display name and, depending on how you sign in, an email address. This lets the other members of your circle recognise you. You choose what to add to your profile.

Content you create in a circle

When you send a message, set a pledge, add a vision item, or take part in a session, that content is associated with your circle so the app can deliver it to the other members and show it back to you over time. Content you create is meant for the people in your circle, not for the public and not for us to read or monetise. If you delete content or leave a circle, the app stops showing it to you; group history that others rely on may remain visible to the remaining members.

Live sessions and calls

A circle can hold a live session with group audio and video. When you join a call, the app asks for access to your microphone and, if you choose to turn it on, your camera. Your audio and video are streamed in real time to the other people in that call through a real-time communications provider that carries the stream on our behalf. They are used only to run the call while it is happening: nothing from a call is recorded, stored, or kept afterwards, and the in-call text chat exists only for the duration of the call and is never saved. You stay in control: you can mute your microphone, turn your camera off, or leave at any time, and you can decline the microphone or camera permission and still take part with the rest turned off.

Privacy Mode

Pledge offers an optional Privacy Mode that a circle can turn on for additional protection. When enabled, it is designed so that a circle's content is readable only within that circle. Privacy Mode is opt-in and set per circle. Standard mode is the default.

What stays on your device

App settings and preferences are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app removes this local data.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, Pledge uses them to let you know about activity in your circle, such as a new message, an upcoming session, or a pledge that is due. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

AI features

Some optional features use AI, such as generating a vision board image, summarising a session, or producing accountability coaching. When you use one of these features, the content needed for it (for example the prompt you enter or the relevant pledges and session notes) is sent to our server and to an AI service that processes it on our behalf, solely to generate the result and return it to you. This content is not used to train AI models, and it is never used for advertising or sold to anyone. If you do not use these features, no content is sent for AI processing.

Analytics, tracking and advertising

None. Pledge contains no advertising, no advertising identifiers, no cross-app tracking, and no third-party analytics or marketing SDKs. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not sell, rent, or trade your information.

Purchases

Pledge offers optional paid features. Purchases are processed by the app store on your device (Google Play). We do not see or store your full payment details; the store handles billing and shares only what is needed to confirm and manage your purchase.

Children

Pledge is not directed to children and is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Data retention

Your on-device data (app settings and preferences) is kept on your device for as long as the app is installed. It is removed as soon as you uninstall the app or clear it from within the app. We never receive a copy of it, so there is nothing for us to retain. Content you share in a circle (your profile details, messages, pledges, vision items, and session activity) is retained on our backend only for as long as you remain part of that circle. When you delete that content in the app or leave the circle, it is permanently removed and is not kept afterwards, aside from any short-lived operational backups our hosting provider rotates out within 30 days. We do not retain any data after you ask us to delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Significant changes will be made clear in the app or on this site.
